    White crowned wheatears are the most common bird species in the Libyan Desert. We have encountered them in all areas with permanent vegetation, principally at Jebel Uweinat, and in the Gilf valleys. The above listing reflects only the recorded sightings, on several trips numerous individuals were seen.
