Sefar to Jabbaren

Jabbaren is about 30 km almost due south from Sefar. The walk is possible in one day, starting at dawn, but most people will do it in a day and a half. The going is good, with some nice rocky sections in the middle, but mainly on the slowly undulating reg. There are a few lesser rock art sites to visit along the way, but the main attraction of the day is simply enjoying nature at it's purest.

The route passes a number of wadis along the way, and there is a surprising amount of life all around, both plants and animals. My favorites are the hyrax, little furballs that disappear under rocks as soon as one approaches, but there are so many it's always possible to catch a glimpse (but to take a photo, you have to be quicker than I was ...). On nearing Jabbaren, there is a grove of large and healthy cypress trees in a couple of wadis, shortly before the campground.
